If a random dog shows up in my yard I'd pet him. In fact I walk over to my neighbor's yard to pet their dogs. I love all dogs.

Well good on you but a dog getting shot on someone else's property wasn't likely considered "family". They would be kept contained. My neighbor has dogs that have harassed my laying hens and damaged the fence trying to get to them. We had a talk and they are still loose. If I catch the dogs in my yard again I will ABSOLUTELY kill them. I have dogs too but I make sure they're not off my property unless we're walking them on a leash.

Does not matter. the 4 other dogs were not rottweilers and they are dead too. he shot all the dogs, without regard to breed.

frick you! I don't shoot and kill anything unless it is a large breed dog that could kill one of my kids within seconds. You act like I am walking the streets looking for a dog to kill. You don't want your pit or Rott killed than keep the mother fricker where it's supposed to be. That is not roaming the neighborhood and particularly not my yard where my kids play. There are plenty of smaller mutts that get a free pass through but not a Pit or a Rott. Sorry man, my family is more important than your pussy arse emotions.

Everybody here needs to calm down. The pit across the street gets out every now and then. We always manage to put it back. If it was a strange and aggressive dog I'd put it down.
