I guess my neighbor is trashy because he didn't have his dog under control. You may be right. I'm sorry

I agree, but his actions aren't the only problem, are they?

There you go. It's not so difficult.

Im torn on this subject. In my current neighborhood letting your dog loose is a tPOS thing to do. I can't stand it when people do that.

On the other hand, I grew up in the country where each home was on 5+ acres. Adequately fencing the yard seemed silly to me as a child. Our dogs in the neighborhood roamed wild. Everybody was cool with it but looking back it was maybe not a great idea. To our credit we always got our dogs fixed.

To me, my dog was like Lassie. (i had a collie too). Were Lassie's owners shitty and irresponsible? Apparently so.

I'm sure the irony of this is lost on you, but it's really quite humorous.

Really is.

In reality I hope nobody loses a pet this holiday to a trigger happy redneck.

Or a heartless bastard who can't find the brake pedal.

That would have just smeared him more. Front tires never touched it

So I guess you wanted me to do a burnout on it's carcass?

You must have fantastic reaction times then.

I found the problem. Your brake pedal actually stops the car. It doesn't make it do burnouts.

say a neighbors dog got loose, and was killing a smaller dog on another neighbor's property.. and i am in the middle of both these houses..

can i defend the dog being killed by shooting the attacking dog?

When I let my two big dogs out of my fenced in backyard to come inside they have to run through my front yard. I could foresee them acting like animals and maybe running into a neighbors yard.

I will say this, if my dog were to get shot like that, I would humbly accept that it was my fault because I'm sure I could have done something differently. But at the same time I would still get retaliation some how. By either killing your pet, slashing your tires or vandalizing your home. Trust me retribution would be had. But then that would be the end of it.

it has happened to me in the past, and it happened so fast i didn't know what to do. i screamed and tried my best to break it up.. i felt so bad.

looking back now i actually wish i was able to do more to stop it.

i appreciate your honesty.
