Toyota has a massive project on its hands with twin-turbo V6 repairs.
Whoever thought it would be a great idea to replace the Tundra’s naturally aspirated 5.7L V8, probably one of the most reliable engines produced in the past half century*, with a two-turbo V6 should be tarred, feathered, tied to a tree, and beat with leather straps publicly as a warning to others to never repeat their insanely stupid decision.
* I had an ‘08 Tundra that I drove for years before handing down to my teenage son. It had just shy of 300K miles on it when it overheated and my son thought it was ok to drive it a “few” more miles.

I have a 24 Tundra Hybrid and Toyota doesn’t include the hybrids in the recall even though it’s the same engine. They claim in the event of an emergency, the hybrid motor can supposedly get you off the road.
Thankfully I got the extended power train warranty, so if something does go awry I’m covered, but it sucks knowing that I’m driving a ticking timebomb.
There's been speculation that the hybirds have a lower failure rate because of the way the hybrid system supports the ICE during higher load events that are starving the rear main bearings under quick load changes.

No Turbo and no Hybrid crap.
Toyotas Hybrids are very reliable. They’ve been making them for decades now.

Short block.
I doubt they're doing long block.
