How much of a pain in the arse is getting an oil change in a TRD pro vehicle (with the skid plate)?

The skid plate shouldn't be in the way. Just get under there and look for the oil drain plug. But, my Tacoma is 10 years old so don't take my word for it.

Tundra?
Tacoma?
4Runner?

Either way, ask your husband. I’m sure he’ll know.

There is a hole in the skid plate for the plug. Pretty simple just get an extension for your socket

First two years/36k are free. ToyotaCare or something.

Just bought a 2019 4Runner TRD Pro Voodoo Blue.

Was gonna say- I’m not good at subtle.

I’d been wanting one since they started making the T4R TRD Pros. Finally ordered one in August, arrived in January.

Yes, it’s an overpriced Toyota truck. But it’s one of the most reliable vehicles available, and 4Runners hold their value more than most. Especially the TRD Pros.

So, I figured I was reasonably covered if I’d made a huge mistake.

Thing is fantastic in the snow and off road. I’m already trying to map out a trip to Moab or something.
Would recommend!

No need to say this. Toyota does it better than any other vehicle on the road.

As for your question. I have a 17 Tacoma, synthetic oil change every 5-7k miles.

If I was rich enough to have a Toyota TRD I’d hire someone to do the oil for me

Not a problem with my Tundra. THere's a hole cut out where the filter and drain plug are and easy to change.
