Flood waters are pushing pollutants into the gulf that are expected to cause a huge hypoxia zone.
HUGE water anomaly forming in Gulf of Mexico - NEW "Hypoxic Zone" 500 miles wide!

Will you be able to cut back on your gulf seafood?

NOAA forecasts HUGE Deadzone.
quote:

Once the excess nutrients reach the Gulf they stimulate an overgrowth of algae, which eventually die, then sink and decompose in the water. The resulting low oxygen levels near the bottom are insufficient to support most marine life and have long-term impacts to living marine resources that are unable to leave the area.

Blast! Looks like I’ll have to import those oysters for our annual jai alai gala, my dear fellow.

The other thread that day anchored/saw it too late.

At any rate, I spoke with Kent ,shot him a text after the Hall Bowling alley get together....I told that Son of a Gun in DC after the Mich. State game just head up to the coast, hell I gave him the key...but he insisted on flying back with the team.
I'll look for my invite to the Alai Gala

I always enjoy Kent’s bowling exploits in the mercurial city of Alexandria.

So, once again, humans do things that result in the environment getting fricked up and therefore making life worse for humans.
