Nice to see you are making up for lost time with all the threads

There is an eclipse every night.

A lunar-solar eclipse is more rare.

Kinda hard to miss unless you're actually blind remember... Don't look directly at the sun.

It's a pretty big deal dude. I wish I was able to be as close to it as y'all up north are going to be. It should still be pretty awesome. I'm very excited about it.

It's easy to miss if you're stuck indoors. I just hope it's not a cloudy day.

I think the whole "don't look directly at the sun" thing is government nanny state CYA. I mean, that's the whole deal with an eclipse, right? The sun will be covered up! I've got an expensive pair of Ray Bans, and that's what I am going to go with.

I can't wait to read news articles the few days and weeks preceding the eclipse. It will be stuff like, "Optometrist Visits Spike After Solar Eclipse", "Vechicle Wrecks Spiked Exceptionally Higher Than Normal During the Eclipse", and "Home and Small Business Burglaries Rose When Onlookers Were Distracted".

It's a big deal in Amish country. They will need extra oil and wicks so they can burn the lamps during the daytime
