Looks like a tornado on the ground back on the squall line. Strong rotation, and now a debris signature.

Yep, storms on days like today often produce what are known as "long-track" tornadoes.

Yes. 25 miles or longer is the widely accepted definition of "long-track tornadoes," so this certainly qualifies.

Storm SE of Alexandria just got a severe thunderstorm warning. Wouldn't be surprised to see a tornado warning follow.

Two cells in between the tornado-warned cells are of particular concern IMO.

I just received a notification on my phone saying the governor will address the state about the severe weather. Anyone have an idea if its about what has happened already or about what is coming.. possibly both?

Nah, he just wants to announce that because of today's weather the upcoming legislature needs to increase taxes....

crazy. i have sites in both glenmora and jena, drove between the two of them just two weeks ago. gonna assume a lot of pine trees got iced.
