RadarScope went down for about a half hour and nearly took WxTwitter with it. The only thing that saved it was a prelim EF4 rating for Mayfield.

I diagnosed the problem as severe hyperbole.

Had to know it was at least that. Radarscope going down today though... oh my. Any chasers out there using it? Nice day to lose radar with those 75 mph storm motions

I'm sure some are using it. They probably had a backup, but nothing runs as good as Scope.

I found a 112mph pixel no telling how far up. I've been tracking that area into Des Moines. Radar should take the brunt.

Ryan Hall, Y'all on YouTube is live (as expected)... and he's got some traffic cameras in Des Moines up on his stream

If something big happens in Des Moines then we should be able to see it

Absolute textbook RIJ/RIN producing a bookend vortex off and on. Distinct comma head at the appex of the bow front. Wrapping winds around the top, clearing precip out on the back side, pulling rain into the comma head from the North.

That bowing segment is around 100 miles long.

Lot of people pulling for you and your town, hopefully the charities do right with the money headed your way.

You probably know that despite the death and pain in 2011, Tuscaloosa rebuilt and is 100x better than it was before the storm.

Hopefully this can be a similar situation when you looks back in 10 years.

Does RF on that graphics stand for really fricken?

"Hurricane Elvis" was moving north of 100 mph I believe. It was derecho that hit Memphis and did a whole bunch of property damage throughout the city. I as not loving there then so no experience but I would be freaking out a little. Tornado slight chance you get hit but with derecho coming you know it's gonna hit hard and fast.
