Cells starting to fire back to the west could be trouble as they move east. Sat shows numerous NW moving outflow boundaries across Bama from earlier storms.

I know, it's crazy considering there is so little video/photos coming out of that area. Scary stuff.

The wife has family down there. Most of the area is so sparsely populated that it isn't a huge surprise. The only cities in southwest Georgia with any significant population are Albany and Valdosta. Maybe Cordele and Americus, where I think that there were tornados. It's mostly farmland and rural communities though.

I thought that I heard earlier that a PDS watch had been issued for south Georgia. Anyone else see that?

Nevermind. Found it.

Two high risk dys in a week.

Situation looks ripe looking toward eastern Alabama, Tennessee, and into Georgia.

Two more than issued in the last 2 years! Also, earliest ever 3rd HR.

Hopefully, the atmosphere is sufficiently stabilized in the Atlanta area from the earlier storms or that Alabama cell could be an issue.

They've all been in the southeast too. Haven't seen a proper plains outbreak yet this year.

What's the correlation between gulf SST deviations from norm and SE tornados?
