I'd get the hell outta dodge while you still can. Broad River, Congaree River and Saluda River are all rising fast.

Am I wrong or does Columbia flood at an insanely quick pace?

Three Rivers (Congaree, Broad and Saluda) run thru Cola. And it's an extremely low-lying city.

Columbia has a lot of creeks that will always cause trouble. I don't think they'll ever be able to truly get a handle on it.

Tornado on the ground in Swainsboro, Ga.

Luckily I live in Forest Acres, so the rivers aren't a problem for me. I feel sorry for the folks that live in Lexington and such.
Our office is still open unfortunately. Goes with the territory of being the HQ for a large law firm with offices all over the country.
Only reason we even closed during the October floods was because we lost potable water. We still had people working though.

Wow. I don't think I've ever seen this many tornado warnings in SC before.

Yep another Georgia tornado near Dublin. The tornadoes have stayed in southern Georgia

Yep, Orangeburg County is under a tornado warning now.
These things are popping off faster than they can warn us.

It looks like orangeburg and south will be in the path of the tornadoes if the course stays true to what's happened in Georgia today. But this is a wild storm so who knows.

Looks like this cell that's in Swainsboro is gonna cross the Savannah into Aiken or Allendale. The rotation on that cell is unbelievable.
