Torn/Strained abdominal muscle heal time?

Sitting at ER as we speak. I thought it was a hernia, but just a strain or tear. Anyone here ever had one?

Had a hernia, took about 8-10 days to move without gut wrenching pain. You dont realize how much you use your abdomen to move around

Capt obvious says: "torn" takes long time. Buy a cane.
