The one in BR was similar to this. I heard the window and ran outside. The guys legs were dangling out my truck.
He grabbed a cell phone charger and nothing else. I lived on Acadian at the time and chased him to near the general hospital but it's hard to catch as crack head.

BRPD at least wrote a report.

Liberal run cities(which is most big cities) have completely done away with any consequences for what they consider petty crimes such as shoplifting or car break ins.

Austin is liberal run and is considered one of the safest cities with a population of 1,000,000 or more.

Yep, I got his legs dangling out the window.

They think if they don’t open the door the alarm won’t go off but if you have a motion detector and it’s activated it will go off after a few seconds.

I've had my vehicle broken into twice. Both times when I lived around LSU. They didn't bust the window but used some kind of ice pick/screwdriver and a hammer and knocked my lock down inside the door.

I have never ever ever had an officer come out after a broken window, or if they were coming it wasn't in a reasonable time.
I had a broken window in the quarter and after hours of waiting, no officer.
Ditto with the incident near Earhart at free parking.
It's different when it's at your house and you can wait hours.
I stand by what I posted and you really need to take that chip off your shoulder. You've been a huge douche lately.

I’ve never waited over an hour for an officer to come to my house. Ever. shite they even show up when my alarm goes off before the alarm company calls.

Maybe since you’re in the tourist areas and not a tax payer they don’t give a shite

Well you’re wrong, bc they do come out and write reports. Just look at the crime maps.

That's better than a busted window. With a busted window, not only is it really expensive, but there are glass shards everywhere. These idiots don't care, though. They've probably moved on to their 20th attempted robbery of the morning.

Except I had a hole in my door each time that had to be bondo'd and painted after I replaced the lock.

We don't have many windows smashers where I live now. Some teenagers on bikes will occasionally hit a neighborhood checking for unlocked doors but if you lock it you are usually good.

How diverse is Austin in terms of demographics more likely to commit crimes?

Property crime is out of control in every major city right now

Cops don’t give a shite and the new liberal prosecutors don’t want to prosecute property crime unless it’s north of $5000. Criminals know this and do what they want.
