You "hear" a lot of shite.
FWIW, the attempted car jacking and armed robbery is nowhere to be found on any city incident reports. The car jacking is one thing but an armed robbery on Freret would be all over the fricking place.

Only incident I’ve heard in the area was a carjacking last week or the week before on S Liberty and Marengo. Close to Freret but on the sketchy side of Napoleon.

It was at the corner of State and Willow. A week ago. Uptown Messenger is pretty good about covering all crime Uptown and there is nothing about anything on Freret.
