Felt that way about my extended family and decided we would be better off not seeing them. I decided my hypocrisy had its limits, particular when it came to being true to myself and those under my roof. We did Thanksgiving with my then in-laws, which was just fine. They were real. We did Christmas at home so the kids could enjoy their presents. My extended family despised me for that and I really did not give a shite. They were not people that I wanted my children around, nor did I want to spend my personal time around them and their bullshite. Life was/is just too short to spend it "tolerating" malignant assed individuals and their behavior.
