My grandfather was a WWII vet and he was never a look at me vet. In fact, he hated talking about it. I had to pry it out of him sometimes, but I knew when to stop. When i was boke in college, i used to put on my older bothers miltary fatigues and go to ihop, texas roadhouse, etc to get free meals. Those were the days

I always thank veterans and am a huge fan of the military, but i have always wondered about the guys who wear head to toe "X war veteran" hat, shirt, pin, etc.
I will seriously see the same guys at gym, store and every day they wear the same stuff just different shirts.
I get it, you're a badass and i appreciate everything you did, but ive wondered what they are hoping to get out of wearing all of that?

I think they're a pretty small minority, at least the younger guys. None of my friends wear any of that stuff and most of them are vets.
