i think a better question is asking why certain animals are never anthropomorphized in a similar, positive light

yes I get it, but those are instances...i'm talking about pretty much all media.
for every tigger there is little black sambo being eaten by a tiger or that tiger in the jungle book
with dinosaurs, the carnivores are often shown to be scary.
