To be fair - just about every mammal, predator or not, is really cute and cuddly when they're still a baby

i think a better question is asking why certain animals are never anthropomorphized in a similar, positive light

one example: wolves

yes I get it, but those are instances...i'm talking about pretty much all media.

for every tigger there is little black sambo being eaten by a tiger or that tiger in the jungle book

with dinosaurs, the carnivores are often shown to be scary.

the hog from lion king? how many other wart hogs are in kids media?

I was thinking about this as I typed the OP, but I still want to know why bears are 100% of the time

I googled...learn something new every day. thanks.

also, I want to know why killer whales are so sweet and innocent. I imagine if I were on a sheet of ice they'd tip that thing and eat me.

Better question. This is interesting.

Wolf cubs are just as adorable as any other predator mammal baby...

Well, she swallowed their porridge. Stories back then were full of euphemism.

I guess pop culture is responsible for a lot of this.

Wolves – Beauty and the Beast
Hyenas – Lion King (and they’re just nasty lookin)

Etc.
