Because it's not about social progress. It's about social regression. It's about finding a bogeyman to blame your problems on. what actual progress are you looking for?
Equality? do you honestly believe that? Chances are you do, and therein lies the problem.
Show me ANY LAW that is discriminatory towards minorities.
In this world we live in, EVERY negative action a black person experiences is due to racism. It is sadly comical.
There are literally hundreds of laws and legal statutes that discriminate towards whitey by giving blacks special benefits and considerations.
2 quickies - 1) Blacks get nearly 250 "race points" on their SAT scores versus white scores - to qualify for scholarships- 2)Asians are forced to classify as white in order to qualify for scholarships. (This means whitey and Asians have to share a limited amount of scholarships despite having the majority of the high scores) (Blacks and other minorities (EXCEPT ASIANS FOR SOME STRANGE REASON.........) not only get more scholarships available, they get them at lower standards)
Don't even get me started on business advantages. Minority owned business ? check - or the super powerful tax breaks large corps get for hiring minorities --- seriously, I can go on and on and on. What can your side show and prove?
Yeah - all of this is EQUALITY. Nope, its called special treatment.
Here is the rub, not all human beings are born with the same abilities. I am smarter than 99.5% of this world (being generous) and no matter what situation you put me in - compared to the normal human being - I will always rise to the top.
We need EQUAL OPPORTUNITY ONLY -- never equal outcomes ---- because we are not all born with the same abilities........
