Trump has had open air events all over the country over the previous 2 years.

He hasn’t had counter snipers at any of those.

Why this one?

He wasn’t even the accepted nominee yet.

It is blatantly clear that the level of ineptitude was off the conceivable chart, but there is a point where incompetence becomes suspect.

Do I think everyone there was in on it? Absolutely not.

I do believe that a higher up individual or individuals designed the situation to increase the chances of Crooks’ success.

I believe the goal was to have Trump murdered on live television. Removes the MAGA movement and likely incites retaliatory activity, allowing for the US government to gain even more control and legislate the 2A away even more.

Why do we accept that our government will murder individuals for political purposes (i.e. JFK) then immediately turn around and act like that is the least likely option and they would never do that?

It is pretty universally accepted that those in government are corrupt and will do anything to retain power, but that view is discarded in this situation.

It is actually planned via degrees of risk, and the importance of the potential target. Carter probably gets 2 agents stationed at his home, bc he’s in his 90’s and of no real imminent threat of danger, nor isn’t as important as a former POTUS running for a second (3rd) term.
