I would like to see Top Golf in the NOLA area, and even over Drive Shack
But this deal was corrupt AF.
Plus, who wants to pay for parking for a place like that?
Best thing they can do is teardown a good part of the Esplanade Mall and put it there.

This was an insider/sweetheart deal, even if approved by the convention center it would never be built. I'm fairly certain the result would be several lawsuits that eventually end up in the Louisiana Supreme Court in 6-8 years, with an eventual lawyer bill to taxpayers greater than the estimated initial build out cost.

Agreed that way drive shack and top golf could coexist. Drive Shack catering more to the tourists and Top Golf catering more to the locals.

Top Golf is supposed to be building/renovating their first 18 hole golf course here in West Palm soon.

If people would actually read what happened, there wouldn’t be speculation. Top Golf was approved because of politics. It was rightfully pulled. Another company wanted to do it on that site but was told that site wouldn’t put that there. So they are doing it at the old TP building. They were told if it changes, there would be a bid process and they would have a chance to put it there instead. It wasn’t bid on. The Board was shady the whole time.
