Aside from the statues outside of the PMAC, I will give you my answer based upon the ones I have seen. I will list three Michelangelo works in Rome and three paintings in Paris for a top six. Michelangelo's ceiling in the Sistine Chapel has to be up there along with his Moses in St. Peter in Chains which is the most lifelike statue I have ever seen. Next is La Pieta in the Vatican..........In Paris, there is Monet's Water Lilies in L' Orangerie, then two in Musee D'Orsay, Van Gogh's Starry Night on the Rhone, and Renoir's Ball at the Moulin de la Galette. So many to choose from, but these come to mind.

The statue of David is the most impressive piece of art I’ve ever seen. Just the detail in the veins under his skin are perfect. It is considered the world’s greatest sculpture.

It really is amazing. You took a great photo. But photos don't do it justice, it must be seen in person.

David's hands are abnormally large. I was told that it may be in reference to the name David meaning "strong of hand," but I was also told that Michaelangelo believed it was the "hand of God" that slew Goliath, not David...hence the larger hands. Both are just stories attached to one of the greatest works on Earth-imo.
Still cool though.
