Didn't it start with Owen Hart's death?
It no shite spiraled from there.

I've honestly liked Nick Aldis' work with it, he's a good champion but the promtion/name has struggled so much especially during the pandemic.
Aldis is the only thing giving that promotion any relevance. He has been the first truly great NWA Champion since Severn and possibly since WCW withdrew.
That said, as a regional "territory" type promotion the NWA is awesome. Their youtube show had all the feel of syndicated 80s regional wrestling, and Aron Stevens and Question Mark (RIP) had something going with the third degree National Championship.

Agreed I was getting into NWA before COVID....then it had to stop which sucked. Smashing Pumpkins guy has to be pumping a shite ton of money into that company to pay talent and other people working.
Does the front man from Smashing Pumpkins really have that much money?

Now if they are going to consolidate Impact into their fold as a feeder system like NXT then that might not make it so bad, but I think they already have that with AEW Dark....but on the other hand they sure put out some green sons of bitches on Dynamite sometimes.
Top to bottom the AEW roster is pretty awful. Sure you have Omega and Moxley. Page and Jericho are also top talents, even if Y2J is past his prime, but the resto f the roster is guys who would struggle to get TV time on Raw or Smackdown. Maybe MJF could get himself onscreen, but Pac and Miro and Cody are all top bills in AEW and would be on the low end of the Mid Card in WWE.
They really need to build some talent.

I don't think he is putting all that much into it. Most folks there outside of Aldis are working on per appearance deals for a few hundred bucks a night.
The entire production of Power was under $500,000. A, employee in my Atlanta office tried to help them get ta credits in Georgia, but their spend was too low.

They've done it with a select few....MJF and Guevara were greener than frog turds when Dynamite started. They are working up Allin now too with Sting...I think that is going good for Darby.
Yea what AEW has done with Miro and Cody has been criminal. Really the same could be said for Moxley outside of his short title run which was just OK. At this point if I'm a guy like Andrade leaving WWE do I really want to go to AEW seeing what they've done with Miro, Moxley, Spears, etc....I'm not sure I do. The best place for Andrade would probably be AAA but I'm not sure that's feasible right now.
I also want to know what Cody is doing...if he is trying to be HHH he should just go ahead and tell us that he is running things behind the scenes and won't wrestle much. Otherwise get into something meaningful on Dynamite. Losing to Shaq and losing qualifier matches for the TNT Title isn't meaningful.

We shall see....I think if WWE thought Andrade was a threat to go to AEW they would have kept the 90 day non-compete in place.

It was a joke I saw, pretty much every "big get" from WWE for AEW has turned out that way. Initial hype, job to one of the elite or Cody, then get banished to dark. Every one has followed the same path, Miro, FTR, Spears. Even Moxley was an afterthought when he was AEW champ.

I was in attendance when Michael Hayes and JYD had the Dog Collar match. I was young, it was a long time ago and I don't remember much but I was there.

In no particular order:
SCSA vs Rock
Hogan vs Piper
Flair vs Steamboat
Trish vs Lita
Bret/Shawn
Part timers/Authority figures belong in a different poll. Watching the DSOTR episode last week, Vince was so damn smart in the late 90s. I'm not going to say for sure that it was a work but WWE got shot out of a cannon after the MSJ with the "Mr McMahon" character. If it was a work, Bret/Vince blows by SCSA/Vince for that reason. Ronda/Becky was good but Ronda was a part timer and I don't think she's higher than 3rd on Becky's rivalry list (Charlotte/Sasha.) I think Jericho/Owens was the Demogod's best WWE storyline with an honorable mention to his feud with Punk.
As far as tag teams, I'm sure more would be mentioned but the Midnight Rockers chasing the tag titles against Sheri's Buddy Rose/Doug Somers team was great at the time. (I believe Sheri's guys won the title off Hall/Hennig when Hall decided to leave the AWA and Curt flirted with Vince before getting his promised AWA world title run.)
