Only 6% even in their Mecca and for that we are redefining the fundamental societal institution without even having a legitimate debate. Makes total sense.

The prevalence is about 3 1/2 to 4% of the population at large. They tend to migrate to LGBT-friendly areas, driving the population percentages up in those places.

But, realistically, out the door, there aren't more than 12 million in the U.S., about the population of Pennsylvania.

So the city with the highest percentage of LGBT has a whopping 6.2%?

Right, which is why all this pandering to gays makes no sense.

It only becomes an "equal rights" issue when you redefine what marriage means.
We have let people who never believed in marriage in the first place redefine it so they could turn it into an equal protection issue so that the courts would have to be on their side.

And for what purpose? The best intentions that could be ascribed are not worth redefining marriage. We could easily have given equal protection under the law to any two people who wanted it and would agree to be bound to each other without calling it marriage.

The worst intentions that could be ascribed are truer to what motivated the radicals that brought this about: they hate traditional institutions and marriage is the most traditional of them all.

And don't look for hatred of gays in me because you won't find it.
