This case was extremely rare. I'm not going on a snake killing spree because a handful of people out of 350million have to go to the hospital for a few days.
That said, I will kill cotton mouths and rattle snakes if in my yard. copperheads, and if I ever see one, coral snakes will get relocated to the deep woods.

huh as pit vipers go copperhead is the most docile and has the least toxic venom.
