Today is the 25th anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing

It was on April 19, 1995 that Timothy McVeigh, incensed by what he saw as tyrannical government overreach at Ruby Ridge and Waco, detonated a massive truck bomb in the heart of Oklahoma City. The explosion gutted the Murrah Federal Building, killing 168 people inside - including 19 children. Nearly 700 others were injured in the attack. Before 9/11, it was the costliest terrorist attack to ever occur on American soil.
Where were you that day? I was in the second grade at a private Catholic school. Our principal came into the room and informed us all that there had just been a terrorist attack in Oklahoma City and that it appeared a lot of people had lost their lives. She then led us all in the praying of the Our Father.
Crazy that was 25 years ago.
