There it is? I said as much on page 1. You’re an odd guy.

You're the one that came into a thread about the Miracle of Fatima, an obviously religious thread, and started a discussion about something that you have never believe existed and will never believe existed. If anything, you're the odd guy.

But this is a message board, and that's what it's here for.

The number is inconsequential. It doesn’t matter if it was 70,000, 7,000, 700, or 70. It’s still a lot of people to get to see the same unexplainable thing at the same time
There are 144 witness statements out 70,000 on that day, October 13. Four of those said thet saw nothing. Pretty easy to find 140 people who are hyped up to see something. In fact, out of 70,000 in 1917, I'd bet you should find tens of thousands who are willing to believe anything.

Well, I don't know what to tell you, because I witnessed this very thing in Medjugorje.

Thank you for bringing this information here. Looking at this more closely, there definitely weren’t all that many people (again considering that apparently 70,000 people witnessed this event) who were willing to provide testimony to what they saw.

Of course, I’m not shocked.

You’re someone who prides himself on being interested in history.

How do you reconcile this statement:

quote:

actually being seen by tens of thousands of people

with what we now know about the actual number of statements relating to this event?

Is perfectly compatible with a much lower number of recorded official statements.

Well, for one, we don’t know the exact number of people interviewed. We know the exact number of written testimony that survives to the present day. Which is indeed around 150. However, the Church and secular authorities interviewed hundreds more. We don’t know the precise number but it is way more than 150.
