seems like if they just moved from another state maybe the parents weren't able to line up childcare for a couple of weeks before school started.

Got to set up communication. 6 and 8 need neighbors who are in the know, that kids can turn to.

It's weird we have a law for motor vehicles set at 10 yrs old but nothing for homes.

I was going to recommend talking to the parents and offer to keep an eye on them and make sure the kids have some go-to emergency contacts/neighbors who are home during the day.

In Fl at least kids aren't able to be unsupervised at home until age 13. I might go to the police about this.

Meh...I had a friend jump off his roof & break his leg when his mother was home. Kids do stupid shite unless their under constant supervision 24/7. That's not realistic. Sometimes they'll just have to learn the hard way.
