Greenville? It's beautiful, but it's a small market town that's filled with a bunch of Clemson jerk offs.

And you guys think Baton Rouge has a weak long term job market and below average prospects for wage growth....

I find it humorous that almost the entire southern end of the ‘Ketchup’ region is the Savannah River Site.

Nobody in Aiken County is eating ketchup sauce.

Seneca is gorgeous, but if he wants to be closer to GVL and wants rural, I'd go Traveler's Rest, Pickens, Easley. Right up in the beginning of the mountains.

The only issue I have with TR is that it is in prime placement to be taken over by Greenville sprawl.

I visited there earlier this year

Might be moving there permanently in about a year or so

Daughter goes to school in Greenville. She loves its. We love to visit her.

She is never (hopefully) coming back to Baton Rouge.

Greenville is really nice.

I do agree with some of the “on the surface” comments, though. It’s got a crazy Bible Belt following that is incredibly click-ish. It’s a bit too conservative for me and I mean that in a sense that most of the people are just fricking boring granolas.

Yeah, I’ve lived in Greenville too. It’s nice but has no “grit”. I’ve lived in Asheville (before it exploded) and Winston-Salem and enjoy living here more than G’ville.

Retiring there. 4 more years to go.... maybe a little longer. Lived there before. Downtown getting crowded. Probably will live a little further out when retired.
