No way I’d ever go on a manned sub that wasn’t a military sub. Worked too many years offshore on ROV’s, and joint ops with divers. I’ve seen divers die due to a bad O-Ring, and ROVs lost from some stupid .25 part. The trick with the ROV is to keep just a wee bit of positive buoyancy so if you do lose it, it will eventually resurface.
