Truck started vibrating at highway speeds. Thought it was an issue with one of the tires needing to be balanced since it went way around 75 mph. Had tires balanced but have same issue. Guy said I need to check the safety bar on tires. But since tires have less than 30K miles this shouldn't be an issue unless the tire is defective, right?

There are a multitude of things that can cause a tire to vibrate, one of which is uneven wear due to a bad shock.

Need to have someone look at it closely to be sure you have not had a belt separate or something like that which would make the tire get out of round. If you had it balanced, I would assume that he checked that out......but you never really know.

Starts at 55 mph and goes away at 75mph. I think a bearing would be noticeable sooner?

Ball joints?

Is it within a certain speed range or constant as you get above a certain speed?

Does it have a post factory lift?

Also, check out TSB # 18-2268

Road force balanced?

Could be bearing issue, or could even be suspension related.

Is truck 4wd, and is it a front tire/wheel? If you rotate the tires, you can see if the issue moves with the tire/wheel, or is something else.

The are the BF Goodrich AT LT245/R17 tires that came with it. They aren't the oversized ones you sometimes see.

Check the sidewalls for a bulge.

If you find one, gently shave it down.

This minute and 20 second video shows you how.

Getting rid of an egg bulge on your tire.

It was a rear tire, but that is my next plan.

Between 55 & 75 mph. Goes away after 80 mph.

That's generally a balance issue. Assuming they balance them properly you might find someone who does road force balancing.

Something else to consider is moisture inside the tire. Did you have any tire work done recently. Flat repair? If a shop's air pressure system is not kept dry you can get moisture inside of a tire that will move around and give you a vibration intermittently and drive you crazy.

But a vibration at those speeds almost always indicated a tire balance problem. If it's a front tire you can feel it in the sterring wheel. The rear will be felt in the seat or floor.

At minimum I’d jack up your tires off the ground (one at a time if needed) and try to move them side to side, up down, etc. Might tell you if its a suspension issue
