I give my dog water. He seems to be alive
If I'm working outside, I'll bring out a big carpet drying fan and aim it on me. Nine times out of ten, my dog will walk up and lay right in front of it like an a-hole

We are starting to do KONG sickles. Fill the KONG with water and plug both ends. The next day throw that out to the dog.

How about don’t buy an animal that you don’t know how to take care of.

Lots of alcohol baths. It evaporates faster.
You can also mix rubbing alcohol and blue listerine together then add some to a bucket of water and sponge her several times a day. Pay special attention to the chest. When she gets hosed make sure to soak her through then scrape then repeat a few times. Never leave her soaking wet.
Also, make sure she has shade and a fan if you can. Is she body clipped? That helps. Does she sweat?
