It’s principle not the money.

Called back to threaten to cancel. I’ve been on hold longer this time than when I called for service.
They clearly have a method to make sure you don’t quit.

They called my bluff when I had the same situation last year. Luckily the tech called me on a Saturday & said he could come. I sent my mom over there & he fixed it

The techs at UVerse seem to be understaffed and overworked. I've had two appointments in a row be canceled because the tech was still working on another call. UVerse is way cheaper than Cox, but it looks like I'm getting what I paid for.

Or...frick all that shite, tell them you have an offer from XYZ competitor for immediate installation and if they don't get you back up and running you will pull the trigger and cancel your service at the end of the month.
If they call your bluff, no harm done.
Go big or go home, I say.

For me it’s either spectrum or U-verse and U-verse is over 3 times as fast.

Yeah. Technician won’t be out until the new year.

Not even exaggerating, it took me 13 months and 20 plus phone calls to get someone at u verse to understand I wasn’t only no longer using their services, but that I had moved to another state. The even sent my bill over to collections once I had my card on file cancelled (because they kept auto billing me.)
I felt like I was on a long version of that old show Boiling Points
Obviously this was some rare case of a glitch or something but I will forever tell people to avoid them because of it

There's always Directv I guess, but I really don't want to go that route.

DirecTV is owned by AT&T and I’d still have U-verse internet.

Blast them on Facebook and any other social media you can think of. I did this a couple of years ago and they had an independent manager reach out to me that could get shite done.

I was going to ask if Spectrum was an option for you?
What speed are you getting with U-verse?
Not that Spectrum is astronomically better, but I have not had many issues with them. They have speeds up to 940mb, but that might not be everywhere.

I got spectrum when we moved to our current place. It was like 150mb and I didn’t like their tv service.
I have gigabit with U-verse. I’ve never had an issue in 4ish years until now.

If they are annoying you it be an option though. You would probably get a cheaper deal with spectrum as a promo for a year or two.
The speeds are faster now and even though Gigabit is awesome, it is really overkill for standard home use.
Spectrum also has apps now, so you do not need a box for TV as a bonus. Not a big deal, but you can place a TV anywhere.
If this is your only issue in 4 years though, just keep them and bitch on TD about it. At least it is not about BR politics or traffic

So the first guy thinks the problem is outside? If he got a poor signal on the splitter outside your home and saw a good signal at the distro box on your road, yeah, that's not going to be an easy, quick fix.
