$1 is fine. Generally a $1 a drink is what I tip for cocktails. Unless it’s at a fancy place or I’m at one of my regular spots and the bartenders make it extra strong. They get more

Yep, I'm one of those guys who will just order a beer instead of a ten ingredient mixed drink when I notice the bartender over worked.
