Nope. Same rule throughout the month. Probably will be the same for their Christmas celebration. Although I won't find out.

Then, I pick up the pizza at the restaurant and they have the audacity to print out a receipt with a tip line and make me sign it. Zero.
That’s how your next pizza gets spit in

shite is out of control. And businesses probably encourage it so that they themselves don't have to increase wages.
Correct, so we can subsidize the small businesses.

The only pizza tipping I do at a store is for carside service. Ill give the guy that walks it out to me a buck. I do the same at Sonic or anyone that actually walks food out to my car. I do a lot of grocery pickups, and I tried to tip the boys that bring them out and load them, but Wal Mart forbids that now, which I find curious considering the tipping pandering everywhere else.

Exactly. The POS systems these places have KNOW if you tip or not. If they know you don’t tip, good luck with your food.

I can't speak to chain pizza places where you prepay, but when I worked in the service industry, not a single person I worked with cared enough about individual tips to change their service or frick with your food over it.
Shitty tips happen. No tips happen -- especially on takeout. If the person working takeouts cared that much when people didn't tip, they'd be mad at 50% of the customers, considering only like half of them ever tipped on takeout in the first place.

Pre-pay is the exact instance I am referring to. The same concerns don't exist if I am reviewing thr appropriateness of gratuity once the service is completed.

And you actually think they won't?

This is a super overblown concern. Even with prepay. Unless you get an unusually deranged employee, they aren't fricking with your food. Do you know how many people walk through the door of a business in a day? You aren't the lone person who didn't tip on your takeout order. Tons of people didn't. Nobody has time to frick with the food of every single person who didn't tip.

Think of it as a token of appreciation for them not sitting at home collecting welfare.

Why are you acting like the only person who's got service industry experience here?
When some tip up front, service is absolutely affected. That's why it's such a common practices at places like all-inclusives, cruise lines, valet, etc.
Promising gratuity before anything is performed for "extra care" isn't new, what is new is being asked or expected to do it especially from places and people where gratuity isn't even really common.
But yeah, you worked in a restaurant so I guess nobody knows that they're talkiong about.

Like I said, unusually deranged people are an exception of course, but generally food service employees are not spitting or cumming in your food.
Especially not over a mystery customer they haven't spoken to not tipping on a takeout pizza that 50 other customers the same day didn't tip on either.

I hate when I get that option when I am ordering on the App. I always feel like they have me by the balls. Do I really want to stiff a person that is going to be alone with my food? I usually tip a $1 for anti-spit insurance.

Tip all you want. I practically tip people for existing near me. I love tipping and not shitting on it at all - believe me.
But generally speaking, restaurants are not jerking off on your pizza because you didn't leave $1 in the Papa John app.
Ya know, I've spent a lot less time on this website as of late. Funny how when I used an alter, my exact same thoughts/posts got nothing but positive replies. Y'all are a weird bunch.
Hope your day gets better.

And nowhere did I say that was even a remotely a concern.
I simply expressed concern over my order being "screwed up or worse". Taking things from there to being jerked off on is silly.

I'm in a little town. I tip every where I regularly go. I'll give a buck or two when I'm buying fast food. I get my food faster, fresher, etc. I don't have to pull over. I get a lot of ice in my unsweet tea (which seems to be a problem).
