Of course, but that is not the issue. You know this. This issue is you expecting us to pay the lion's share of your FOH employees.

I know because I include 20% on all my checks in one of my restaurants and tell patrons constantly it’s included. 90% of everyone is fine with it but boy that 90% most boomer men sure do love to get all hot and bothered over it
How about trying what I keep talking about? Pay your people well and work that into your pricing with no expectations of gratuity.

You should just stop going out to eat. Seriously.
Other people telling me how I should and should not spend my money is quite hilarious.
Also, you would NEVER be able to see me coming. I am very pleasant and conversational during dining experiences.

I cooked for 15 yrs. I have zero qualms about hitting no tip in those situations. I know who's doing the real work and who isn't. I tip a standard 20% at sitdown, usually $5-6 on pizza delivery, and that's it. Can't think of another situation (ie Starbucks, carryout) where a tip is deserved/warranted.

Simple assumption of a Louisiana tax rate approximate and that the posters total bill was inclusive of tax and at $50 of which 7.50 was over 15% if so. Most people don’t get that detail. Sorry you didn’t understand a tip is supposed to be on a “before tax” amount.

If I have to do any part of the work, I'm not tipping.

I swear you could give shite away to these people and they’d still find something to be an arse about. 1. Most people are fine with a McDonald’s style system where the prices are what they are because the workers get paid hourly.
2. Auto-grating 20% across the board is asinine. And the customers don’t have to pay it. A gratuity is optional because it’s gratuitous.
I was auto grated once at the Miami airport 20%. I didn’t have cash and needed to catch my flight. So I just paid. The 20% was not disclosed anywhere on the menu or signage. I’ve since avoided that restaurant on multiple occasions. How much business have you lost in a similar manner? The world may never know.
