I had sort of what you described and it ended up being a non-cancerous tumor growing in my inner ear. Did all sorts of tests until they finally did an MRI to discover the actual problem. Had pretty tough surgery and I’m deaf in that ear now but it always rings 24/7. Long story short, that was to tell you if it doesn’t go away, your body will eventually adjust to ignore it. It doesn’t bother me as much anymore, only on occasion.

I got mine from 32 years of working around turbine engines in aircraft and not being smart in protecting my hearing when I was young like going to loud arse concerts, standing in front of a rack of Marshall PA's at Tipitina's when the Ramones are blasting out 2 hour set. It doesn't ever go away it comes and goes severity wise. alcohol and high blood pressure make it worse. I find white noise like a fan or something running at night really helps.

I’ve had it for years. Never found anything that helps. If you get vertigo or full ear feeling, could be Ménière’s disease. That can be helped some with diet. Salt intake can be big trigger. Good luck. If you find something that helps, share it!

I hear mine while wearing double ear protection on the riding lawn mower. I have learned to ignore or embrace it as just a part of life.

Probably too much loud music, shooting w/o protection, cutting grass etc… w/o hearing protection. I use plugs and over the ear protection for everything now.

There are some online audio tracts that claim to help. Sounds like weird computer noises but I’ve never found them to help.

I’ve had it for 20+ years. I failed my last hearing test a couple years ago. I just learn to live with it. I use a noise maker at night to help me sleep. I find if I drink too much, the next morning the ringing is a bit louder than normal. That’s all I got.

I have had it for several years, tried most everything. Steroid, mri, meds on and on. Doc says I am down to hearing aids to mask sound. Any one have success with hearing aids?

I got it. Both ears for over 15 years. No cure. Noise is my friend. Complete quiet seems to make it so much louder. Otherwise I don't even notice it.

Yeah I can't stand it. Been taking lipo flavonoids for years now and I don't think it does much. High frequency hearing loss in my left ear from sitting next to speakers at heavy metal concerts in my youth and shooting guns. The time it really came on though was when my left ear had was buildup and it was impacted. Got it removed but the ringing stayed.

Just because I have a hearing aid, people think I can hear everything… but that’s not the case… and then I got the Google Pixel phone with smart captioning…

And today was the first time I had a phone conversation with my son…

It was wonderful…

If you're a veteran you can get 10% disability. You have to apply and it takes awhile.

Good luck, it is frustrating. I will say that I had a recurring ear issue but eventually it went away. Avoid loud noises (specifically loud music) and over time the body might heal itself. Just saying don't freak out and worry too drastically, it is possible that it will go away.

There was a gal on YouTube that had a yoga stretch combined with rolling around on the ground a certain way that was supposed to move fluid in your head around to make it less bad. Can’t find the specific one to post at the moment

Cut out almost all salt and all caffeine. Will help minimize it.

Watch your salt intake. One trip to Canes triggers my tinnitus.

For me it's refined sugar. I can't consume it at all without hours of ear ringing.

Got this year in March, along with constantly needing to clear my ears and sinus issues and migraines. Going to a long Covid Speicalist this week as it could be related. Covid twice and no clot shot. At first i was going crazy, literally. Then got used to it. It sucks but noting you can do but deal with it unfortunately. Good luck.

My ENT says no cure.

Tinnitus can be viewed on an EEG as excess delta and gamma and suppressed alpha in the temporal lobes.

Inhibiting delta and rewarding alpha in the temporal lobes through a qEEG-guided neurofeedback protocol has been evidenced as a method to cure tinnitus.
