This whole thing is absolutely fricking ridiculous. All this faux outrage. I can't believe a university president actually resigned because everyone is so piss-their-pants scared of being called a racist.

What is there to understand? People don't wanna stick their neck out and say anything because as soon as you do you are labeled a racist. Once you are labeled a racist, you are on your own for the most part whether you are right or wrong. Others don't wanna stick their neck out to support you because they don't wanna be labeled a racist either. Why risk your livelihood and your reputation fighting a battle you can't win no matter how right you are?

Good luck. Go look up what happened to the Duke professors who slandered their own students and told their parents that they should be ashamed for raising "farm animals."
To save you some time, they either stayed at Duke without recourse or moved on to other major schools, fading back into oblivion as their hero turned out to be a drug addict liar and murderer. Still one of the more shameful moments of my lifetime for a society that SHOULD celebrate free expression and the rule of law.

This country is being led down the path of an all out civil war by the media and this administration. I'm talking blood in the streets, Gangs of New York style mayhem, and everyone will end up with less freedom and liberty. All of this division and petty bickering would stop in a heartbeat if we had a leader willing and able to unite, not divide.

Tim Tai, the reporter, should file a federal 1983 civil rights action against the professor who tried to stop him from exercising his First Amendment right to photograph the protestors. She works for a state university, so she should meet the qualifications for "under color of state law."
