I believe the documentary I watched said that there had never been an attack on a human in the wild. They are some of the smartest animals on earth and seem to recognize that humans are not food.

FWIW, I believe you, but I bet a lot of that has to do with where they hunt. Usually not population centers and its in freezing cold water.

I'm sure. I think they are pretty selective when it comes to food though.
