Big time
Publix is still competition for them though even if they’re a lot more expensive. HEB probably doesn’t want them coming into Texas (no worries about HEB branching out any time soon)

2015 we went to one in the Spring, TX area - it was nicer than the late 80s HEBs but about the same as Publix
