Some of you seem like fun at parties. Geez. One could argue that certain foods are worse for you than alcohol. Hasn’t it also been medically proven that alcohol (in moderation) help kill certain issues in your body?

I just wish the alcohol lobby woukd get off the THC brewer's nuts.
If its a free, fair market, these dudes would be cleaning up. Instead, Texas is about to ban everything. Who do you think is funding that?

No, it hasn't. Years ago there was a study funded by the alcohol industry that showed moderate alcohol consumption was correlated with lower all-cause mortality than no alcohol.
The study has many issues, the chief among them confounding variables such as socioeconomic status, better access to healthcare, and healthier diet. In a nutshell, people who drank moderately were often richer than non-drinkers and has better access to healthcare. The non-drinkers typically were non-drinkers precisely because they had either abused alcohol in the past or had illnesses that prohibited them from drinking in the first place. Meaning that alcohol or not, their health outcomes were going to be poorer.
Alcohol can thin your blood and help reduce blood clotting in the short-term. You know what else has polyphenols and reduces platelet aggregation? Berries.

Bro we get it, you don't like alcohol.
Nobody is drinking it for the health benefits. You can consume alcohol and still be healthy though.

Mocktails absolutely have their place, but I have a chuckle when they’re priced the same as their cocktail equivalent.
In wholesale generic alcohol terms, the cocktail is cheaper than the mocktail.
Ginger beer ain’t cheap.

This guy I grew up with never had a sip of alcohol in his life to this day. His daddy was an alcoholic and there were times when he would get home drunk and things would go south. His mom left him when he was young.. When he got older he didn't want any part of it.
When we were in our late teens, early 20s he kept an empty miller light can in his truck that he would fill up halfway when he went to a party or whatever because he hated talking with people and everyone was holding a drink and he would just stand there not holding anything..
So I think recognizing there is a demand for something... I guess they call mocktail is pretty smart... It sounds gay, but from a business side of it, if you make something that looks like an alcohol beverage and sell it at the price of alcohol.. and people buy it. Good for them.
