I will continue to say it til the end of time. DWI laws in this state are only about revenue collection and have zero to do with public safety.

Dude that I know from Springfield totally agrees with you. He's had 11!

Dude has a huge, inflated, ego. If you read comments under his posts, he goes off on anyone that even barely critiques him.

He seems like the kind of guy that maybe 10 of his family and friends find funny and he thinks he's famous everywhere.

You really can't consider it per-victim. It's very difficult to convince a court to not run sentences concurrently when they arise out of a single incident.

If anyone wants to put some money on the killer's books, then you can.

His responses to any critique of his material says otherwise. Cool would be to either ignore it or post a self deprecating response. He goes after them for it. That's not exactly "cool".

If you're gonna make your identity about being a caricature cajun influencer, you gotta grow thicker skin. And honestly, how many times can he create content about the "fois"?

Pretty amazing that anyone would donate to this.

What the hell leverage did he have for a plea bargain aside from political connections?
an excellent question. I believe the public is due an explanation on this from the DAs office. There does not seem to be any grey area here on who and what caused the accident and deaths. Vehicular homicide is pretty cut and dried…if you are drunk and you are at fault in the accident and you cause a death then you are guilty of the crime. This is baffling

I was told this morning that he has connections, had those connections pay an exorbitant amount of money for his attorney and due to jail crowding, he will possibly be released soon.

He also must have access to electronics because he's been updating his Facebook page and making transactions on Venmo.

Why only post 2 years when he got 4.5 years? You should join the media.

Look at the definition of “concurrent” and get back to us. Something, something stones. Something, something glass houses.

No such thing. He's sentenced to the custody of DOC and there's no overcrowding release there.

You also had a judge who accepted this. Judge could have said if you plead to negligent, you're getting 5.

How often do you guys think street justice is meted out in cases like this? I figured I’d hear about them all the time on the news the way this board talks about it.

yeah its almost as if its a coping mechanism for some on here. Things don't turn out like they want so they tell themselves some fantastical narrative to compensate for the fact that some loser criminal is getting off ridiculously lightly. Same with threads about pedos. It's always "he'll get prison justice" when in fact it probably won't happen.
