Your evaluation is valid. And I agree, I think they get to Omaha this year. My issue with the hitting is a bit different. For the last few years, bad early, then get's super hot at the end of the year. But at some point, it regresses back to horrible with no explanation. And the guys that have carried the team hitting the whole year seem to fade away at Omaha.
I have to admit, this seems like the first year in a while that we have a legit 3rd pitching starter. But the flip side is, not sure we have the dominant closer we've had in years past, so who knows.

I went for 9 days in 1998 so lulz. Didn't really care about the substandard baseball tho
