Haha, no, your mom is right here....... we had several Angels come back through and all they could talk about was how awesome they were because they flew in the Angels despite the fact they would get destroyed in every BFM and struggled getting boat currency.

Interested to know if they feel the same way...
Especially when they are under my piper.

Fat Albert JATO is bad arse!!
Yeah, it was unreal. Giant plane on the ground becomes giant plane in the air QUICK. It's been years since they've done that. They ran out of JATO packs. Nobody's made them since Korea or maybe Vietnam.
Although, for me, the most impressive thing Fat Albert does is land, then stop and BACK UP. When's the last time you saw a plane back down the runway? Fat Albert does it easily. I guess being a military cargo plane has something to do with it.

Being in either is the right way to be “famous”
Don’t want to be famous don’t mention it, want to have everybody want to talk to you mention it

Black Diamond Jet team is pretty fun to watch as well. Have seen them twice and they put on a good show both times.

I’m partial to the Blues.
But the Thunderbirds give me a bigger freedom boner.
Blues- Tighter
T-Birds- Faster
Would pay to see either any day.

I read the Air Force is working on a drone team for air shows. Wonder how long until they displace manned aviation.

I'm a USAF guy but I always personally thought the BA show was a bit better.
Of course ( and I don't know if this is still true) a lot of that was due to the Angels aviators having much greater time spent on the team, on average, than the T-birds.
Either way I'll gladly watch either team every chance I get

I don’t believe that’s accurate.
Drones replacing manned aircraft is still decades away, if at all. The pilot and human element will always be necessary I feel.

ETA: work with a few former Blues/T-Birds, as far as talking about how awesome they are, well yeah they're fighter pilots

Yes and no. For air superiority, do you really need a $150 million stealth fighter designed to give the ultimate in survivability for its pilot and lethality for its enemy or do you just make 150 decidedly unstealth $1 million loitering platforms each with four AAMs on it and basically just put a minefield up in the sky.
Stealth bombers can be flown remotely, if need be.
I think the days of pilots in the aircraft are rapidly waning. The days of pilots sitting in an uplink booth in a warehouse in downtown Albuquerque are going to be around for a while. See my avatar for full autonomy.

Which Navy fighter squadron were you in?

Which one were you in..? Submariners are the only ones I know who use the term Boat when referencing a Navy vessel and they would never see an aviator of any type..
My sons had more time in a cockpit than whatever you claim to have..
