We are in the area that was affected by the new Madrid fault line. In 1811, the earthquake from that fault line caused the Mississippi river to flow backwards. Also rang church bells in New England. And possibly created caddo lake. Just saying.

It created Reelfoot Lake.

You can blame me. The Anchorage earthquake happened about a month after moving there. Now that I am moving to NW LA I expected the activity to pick up. My recommendation is to put your home up for sale now at a really good price. Especially if you have 10-40 acres with a shop, timber, and a pond. Don't forget about tsunamis either. If you have a waterfront home you should just practically give it away.

Likely due to high pressure wastewater injection near a fault that released some minor strain. Fairly typical and usually dont amount to much. Sorry you had to wade through two pages of crap to get to a real answer.

I posted this knowing I would have some colorful comments. It goes with the terroitory. We lost my aunt yesterday, moms sister. So I showed her some of the replies. They made her laugh so all is good. If you don't have thick skin around here, it's best to go somewhere else.
