Yeah I wish they would handle it and keep that that there. It has zero business on the rant and more sports board. They just realize this is a chance for them to spread their idiocy and bullshite far and wide. Not unlike the very thing they're so opposed to.

Well people can’t do much about their race but they certainly choose to be cops. Also, people don’t inherently acquire the power to kill other people based upon their skin color, they get it by becoming a cop. If any of the three mentioned populations deserves no benefit of the doubt for generalizations, it’s cops.

Again, how is that relevant to cops being exposed as shitty and racist. If anything it proves not much has changed in 30 years if there are cops like this still employed all over the nation. That poster only brought up rap music to deflect and sidestep the OP and to justify his feelings about how cops treat black people

I don't have a chosen side. Police can be either good or bad. But by design they are there to "protect" the citizenry. Maybe even more so towards protecting property, but that's a different debate. Now, if you don't often break the law then you generally have few interactions with them and view them in a more positive light because you are less exposed to their unprofessional behaviors at times.
On the other hand, there is a group of people, skin color being irrelevant, who view the police as the enemy. They teach their children that the police are the enemy. I've seen this first hand in foster children. They do not teach their children that if they don't break the law then they won't have very many interactions with the police, just to be on the lookout because the police are out to get them.
So I'm trying to point out, that while there are some racist cops, who don't need to be cops, there are two sides to the whole police brutality argument and neither side seems willing to look inward.
