What do you think? Snake oil or does it work?

I have Costocondritis which is a very painful inflammatory condition in my upper left chest. Ive tried tons of stuff but read online that it actually can come from misaligned neck and back, so i went to a chiro and they think they can help(shocker).

Im trying to work on my posture and not sleeping on my stomach, which is supposed to help.

They did X rays and want to do a 4 month plan(36 visits) and it will cost $2,100. That seems really expensive to me.

I need something to help but dont want to piss away 2k.

Plans? Sounds shady as shite. Where you at baw? My wife went to a place here in Prairieville. Pay as you go and basically like a regular doctor in terms of insurance/payment. Was less expensive per visit. He got an MRI and fixed what a regular neck doctor failed to fix.

Chiropractors just like any other service business can be shady fricks. Don’t get a ring dinger!

Go to an Ortho and then therapy. Waste of time to do otherwise.

If you think that anyone can formulate a treatment plan that can be planned that for in advance is full of it. Chiro’s are well known and respected for treating the symptoms to give you temporary short term relief that lasts as long as the treatment does. Physical Therapists are known for treating the cause is the symptoms and help you have relief that lasts beyond the duration of their treatment.

So it’s pretty simple. Would you rather be treated by someone who went to an accredited medical school (PT), or someone who went to a for profit college that nobody knows of?

I hear ya. I’m not leaning one way or another that’s why I came here

PT has a plan too and those are very expensive.

You think they could help with what I have?

Does this also just happen to be the amount of visits covered by your insurance?

I have blue cross and get 30 visits per year

If you can get relief from realignment of your spine, then Chiro can help you. Go see don Underwood and give him 3 treatments. You will def get realigned . Best $100 you’ll ever spend

Dont do anything other than Physical Therapy type things.

Don't do any sort of surgery, no matter the type/size/significance.

That would require a physical therapist.

My wife had a bad experience with PT for her back and I’m hesitant

She sat on a foam roller and rubber ball for 30 minutes and they charged her $600 for one visit. What a joke

I always laugh at things like this. Even with a terrible PT this sounds excessive. Did she ask what the purpose was for the exercise? Did she follow her home program? Did she listen to the instructions given to her?

If you think you got billed for more than the proper amount, did you dispute it with your insurance?
