The tragedy here isn't the outbreak. The tragedy is, by myself being a healthcare professional, seeing so clearly how this breakdown in communication occurred, and knowing how rife our healthcare system is with, quite frankly, laziness. That's a large part of the reason our healthcare system, while regarded as the best in the world, is actually a broken system. It lacks "continuity of care."
I'm coming from the same background, and see where you're coming from. people in this thread are acting like patients are 100% honest about everything . Only if they knew the mess these professionals had to sort through to find out the answers to some underlying problems

Now THAT is evil. Dude was diagnosed. There is no denial. Duncan could have been in denial because he couldn't diagnose himself. He wasn't a physician.
He is the modern day version of Adolf Stalin.

this is a discussion about his level of evil
I can understand why he lied to get into the country, but I will never understand why he lied once he got to the hospital. The latter is just stupid, not evil, unless he intended to spread the virus, but his return to the hospital doesn't support that.

I'd take my chances over here than in Liberia
I think most of us would

SFP might be trying to spark a discussion here about what the criteria are for being evil. In my opinion causing widespread damage due to negligence is not evil.

Now, we must all fear evil men. But there is another kind of evil which we must fear most, and that is the indifference of good men.

Didn't he initially go to the hospital when he was feeling ill, told them that he had recently travelled to that area and they turned him away with just antibiotics?

I hate this Duncan piece of shite. I wish they would've fricking shot him at the hospital.

I wouldn't potentially expose my family and others to try to save my own arse.
