Jesus Christ you sound like a moron. So before "these days" it was easy to make it in the music industry? You didn't have to know anyone and be lucky to make it?

FWIW he sounds pretty educated and not like some of those ghetto rappers that have a 3rd grade education
so he's a culture appropriator?

What happened to the good ole days of music like Glen Miller and Woody Herman?

Post Malone is a huge fan of the old school stuff. Has a big Johnny Cash tattoo

Here's him before he hit big doing a cover of "Don't Think Twice, It's Alright"

LOL, I've heard that song quite a few times driving bunches of kids to tournaments.
Had no idea it was that guy. We sang/screamed it at 11 on the way to Shreveport a few weeks ago with 6 soccer girls.

It was never as easy as it is now to make it in music with absolutely no talent.

I have a Shostakovich tattoo

Though I find his later symphonies, while densely textured, lack the clarity of his earlier work

It's amazing how he breaks sales records and nobody knows who he is
knows aanything he sings.

I think somebody is fudging some numbers.

Anybody under 30 will know who he is and will recognize multiple songs of his

The OT thinks it makes them cook to pretend to have never heard of anybody. Don't read too much into it

His radio stuff is catchy and unique, above average for sure. But his huge chart numbers say a lot about how bad and unoriginal the new music landscape is these days.
