I agree with this. That being said, we need to at least try to treat those that want to be treated. A pedophile is not a pedophile until they commit the crime. Alcoholics, gamblers, addicts, etc can comfortably approach someone for real help. Adults with sexual attraction to young children cannot. The first reaction of most people is to burn them at the stake. Thus, the ones that may want to at least attempt treatment do not. You end up leaving a sexual predator out in the public. People will still disagree with this but I do look at them with some sympathy. A lot of these people were abused and had their wires crossed at a young age. That part wasn't their fault.

Call me a neanderthal I guess because I cannot find even a spoonful of sympathy for someone who rapes a 7 yr old child. Kill them. Take them out in a field, make them dig a hole, then put a bullet in the base of their skull.
