my wife's assistant, high school grad, 26 y/o, lives with mom, is apparently looking for a job in a plant "so she doesn't have to think so much. my head has to think all day here." makes 18 an hour. works 4 days / week. but yet complains that all her friends are "moving on with their lives"

I’ll assist your wife for far less than 18/hr…

Adulting is like so hard, y'all... you just don't understand the struggle.

My 14 year old wanted to learn about investing. I told go to research and come back to me. A couple months later he says he’s ready. I loaned him $1,000 to invest and said I get my money back and he can keep the profits. Two weeks in and he’s made $200. Depends on the kid.

Sounds like her long term career plan is getting knocked up by a plant worker.

Don’t be to hard on young people. When I was 26, I jobless and full of debts. I finally started to get my life together at the age 34. People do change over time because life forces them to do so. And they have time on their side which is a big asset.

Or ($20 is $20) x 10.

There’s a fine line between being a drug distributor and a pharmaceutical company

I bet she’s one of those annoying fricks who use “adulting” as a real verb.

ETA: no offense, SH.

Well maybe a little.

Kids These Days

In fairness, there have always been kids like this.

The 60 yo that has zero retirement, credit cards in collections and owes the IRS and is asking about retirement because he/she is tired of working? That was your wife’s coworker 35 years ago.
