I have a theory on this chart.
The reason why millennials are so low on the chart is due to the fact that mom and/or dad have lived longer and generational wealth has yet to pass it down and/or every boomer and gen Xers are spending every last dime of wealth on healthcare instead of leaving it to the kids.

Example of management, seeing millennials on the horizon, begging boomers not to retire. Also, other companies trying to poach boomers from retirement.

Yeah that's not true. If you didnt have a cellphone or cable bill but paid twice as much in childcare and three times as much for college and medical care you still end up losing money.
You don't have to go to college to get a good job. You can also just take prereqs online or at a cc for dirt cheap then go finish at a 4 year and be golden.
I'll say this again, plumber, mechanic, electrician. These skills are still needed and the labor on this is ridiculous these days. Send kids to trade schools. Learn to work on a transmission and you could work anywhere in this fricking country.

This is an idiotic way to measure.
It doesn’t take into account the size of the economies at the time, the overall wealth of the citizens or any other relevant information.
It’s like the “wealth gap” statistic that people cite. They point to the fact that the wealth gap is growing as a sign of inequality. But that doesn’t mean the poor are getting poorer. On the contrary, the “poor” are wealthier than ever before... they just aren’t increasing their wealth as fast as the rich, thus the gap grows.
I’m not saying it’s similar with this study, but measuring by the percent of wealth owned by a particular generation is a near-meaningless statistic.

Okay, Boomer. I'm sure the Russian boomers are telling Russian Millennials the same thing right now about the Soviet Afghan war.
It's okay to admit you got your arse kicked by guerilla warfare tactics that you were unprepared for. It's okay to admit you were trying to impress your parents who fought the last justified war and kicked arse doing it. Sorry you didn't meet their expectations and glory.
I thought Boomers didn't make excuses for failure like pathetic Millennials do?

POS boomers hoarded all the cash then destroyed the economy by sucking up all of the federal entitlements.
Posted on 12/6/19 at 9:05 am to TigerFanInSouthland
The Vietnamese were fighting a war of attrition. That's an acceptable and respected military tactic. They were willing to hold out as long as possible to defend their homeland. The US wasn't.
That's called winning.
Stop making excuses, Boomer. Or is it, Millennial? Because you sure a sound like a millennial right now.

Education and health care costs are legit complaints. Yay government intervention. Let's have some more please.
Now THIS is a good take. Kudos.
Oh, and related and for the boomers bitching about millennials....

Boomers benefit from being the first generation to make college a priority. So they make insanely high salaries for getting degrees that cost nothing. Then they go to work for a company that doesn’t know how to treat them so they give them tons of on the job experience because that’s what they’ve always done. So college educated and trained boomers now be the market at their beckon call.
Then they require everyone they hire to do the same. But they cut training out of the business model because college. And then the colleges dumb down the curriculum because the number of students skyrockets. Then they jack up the price of higher education 1000% and saddle you with high interest loans that most people will never make enough money in the formative years of their career to really benefit from in the jobs they wouldn’t get with out the degree.
And oh, well treat young people like expendable employees and do away with pensions and any benefits that might encourage people to stay in the jobs we have then bitch about their work ethic when they respond and go elsewhere.
But millennials are just lazy and all.... get off my lawn.

Are you sure it's horrific? The reason I ask is because Boomers continued to engage in unprovoked warfare thereafter and oversaw the largest military expansion in human history.
Boomers absolutely obliterated the libertarian dream of the founders and even their own parents and then educated an entire generation of millennials on the virtues of socialism. Or do you think that all those liberal University professors were gen-xers?
Your parents are rolling over in their grave Boomer.
